Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Journiz account and the data associated with it. Choose the option that works for you.

Option 1. Delete from inside the app

The fastest path. Open Journiz on your phone, then go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. Once confirmed, your account and its data are removed immediately and your session is signed out.

Option 2. Request deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app, email us from the address you used to sign up:

privacy@journiz.app

We will verify the request, complete deletion within seven days, and reply once it is done.

What gets deleted

  • Your account, profile, and authentication record.
  • All trips you created, along with their days, segments, waypoints, packing items, posts, and uploaded photos.
  • Comments, reactions, and trip-share invitations associated with your account.
  • Push notification tokens registered to your devices.

What is retained, and for how long

  • Anonymized server logs (no personal identifiers) may be retained for up to thirty days for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
  • Trips you were invited to as a copilot, crew member, or follower remain with the trip captain. Your participation rows are removed, but the trip itself belongs to its captain.
  • Financial or legal records required by law are retained for the period required by applicable regulations.
